The Real Life Hunger Games
If you follow my stories on the gram you see how I have enough content every day to post about “The Capitol” throwing obstacles, literally a 24 hours doesn’t pass before a yet another obstacle is thrown.
So I always say, my life is the real version of The Hunger Games, literally! No joke!
And before , I swear it used to frustrates me alot! Like why on earth does this happen every single day?
And it would mentally task me alot! Like sometimes the impact of an obstacle would draaaaag days, weeks, months….and for major things it once dragged a year and a half 🤷🏽♀️
And then I changed my perspective, since I have no control over what The Capitol throws me, but I can control how I react to it….so I start laughing!
Bathroom ceiling leaks on my birthday out of nowhere? Haha
The water heater breaks down and I’m stuck showering using boiling water on a pot IN DUBAI! for 2 weeks (because corps) — haha!
A friend who was one of my closest for so many years “acting” like the person who loves me the most, only for me to do one simple mistake and then I see the monster within! I’ve seen so much unexplainable hatred, like proper hatred that you can’t just build up due to anger over one mistake, no- it’s the work of years of piling up hatred, how do I know?
Because there’s nothing more disgusting in life than those who you confide in them in private about deep things to you, your own life, you trust them with stories, traumas…because they were your safe space, and then with a snap of fingers, they use all of that against you, not only! They actually get creative of twisting the traumas shared to make it your fault — hahah
Blowing up on instagram over all the harassment, abuse, bullying that I faced for 10 years @ corps, packing my stuff, leaving it all and deciding that i need a break from all humanity so i go prep my camping gear, drive 4 hours to reach the ferry port to take me to Delma Island, with no planned scheduled to return, only for the first ferry to be cancelled due to weather condition, then I wait 4 hours for the second one, gets cancelled half an hour before.
So i decide to camp in an area close by on the beach which i’ve solo camped there alone before during Covid.
I reached that spot exhausted, mentally more than physically…i was soo tired that it was around 2 pm i didnt even set up tent or anything, i just took out my sleeping bag and napped! I literally slept outside like this under the sun and it was colddddddd. Only to be woken up by a european middle aged prick in a big 4x4 truck who left the entirety of the empty beach to come park 2 meters next to me.
And when I asked politely, pointing towards my car that I’m incapable of going deeper into the sand as i might get stuck but he have a 4x4 so if he can just drive in 100 meters, only for him to ignore me, then things escalated, he brings out his phone and starts recording me “as a proof” because i told him I’m getting him the police, i lose my mind telling him how it’s illegal to take a video of me without my consent in UAE, but he was so stubborn to listen, blinded by his ego, and thinking what this little girl can do (Deja vu :) to all those high titled ceos and founders)
And then proceeded to call me a “Dirty Woman” for absolutely no reason! And i wish this was fiction, i actually have proof of all of this that i shared with police later on.
So i actually got him the police which showed up within 5 mins to a remote area, and he started saying he didnt know its illegal and that when i told him that, he stopped recording (lies-he recorded me for over 4 minutes while i was shouting how illegal that is) denied that he called me a “dirty woman”….etc.
But i didnt back down, i said i want to make it an official complain, to teach that man a lesson.
So i packed my stuff (thank god i didnt setup a tent or anything) and we both drove behind the police car to the police station.
There in total it took 4 hours between me telling them what happened over and over again, sharing the proof, delays and whatnot (nothing happened out of this yet btw)
By the time this all finished, its 8:30 pm, driving back to dubai takes 4 hours — i was so not in a mood to do so, so i searched “shisha near me” went to a spot 5 mins away, sat smoked drank tea, enjoyed life, laughing with only one friend at a time knew what happened, i didn’t even tell my parents I told them I’m heading to sleep early as I’m too tired and cold (this is not a lie — but i spared them the fact that I spent the last 4 hours in a remote area police station and not actually next to my bonfire on a beach as planned)
Then started driving back to dubai, managed to drive an hour and a half, before i reached the point where I couldn’t open my eyes, as i usually sleep before 10 pm on a normal day and on days where I’m exhausted then i can sleep by 8.
So here it was 12:30 am i couldn’t drive any more, so i parked at the closest gas station, slightly cracked my windows open (its cold outside) and put my sleeping bag on the back seat and slept until the sun came up :) then woke up, did my morning routine shenanigans in the car hahha exactly how id brush my teeth and all if i was camping ( i already had everything with me) and then went to the petrol station got me coffee , let Fairuz do her magic, and proceeded back to head to dubai, and honestly! The toll on me was Zero! As if nothing happened, it turned into a fun story to tell my friends, nothing more, no drama, no trauma (I guess).
And i dont even need to write about the obstacles i have seen for 1 month in nepal just last month😂 i already have enough documentation on the gram.
So yeah…the obstacles keep on coming and now I just laugh! you want to play Capitol…well I’ll show you how the game is done.
